Chris Zobkiw

Chris Zobkiw is responsible for Systems, Electrical and Software research and product development for Cirtec's Los Gatos, California site. At Cirtec, Mr. Zobkiw has led and contributed to the development of multiple Active Implanted Medical Device products, primarily mechanical circulatory assist systems and neuromodulation implants. He has more than 30 years of product development experience including pioneering medical diagnostic ultrasound systems, computer hardware, women's health and sleep medicine. Mr. Zobkiw has extensive experience in the design and manufacture of medical devices. As Vice President, Director or in various management roles, Zobkiw led research and product development at Celestica, Silere, Pro-Tech, Microvision, Furuno Diagnostics, Siemens, ADR Ultrasound and Acoustic Imaging, a successful venture-backed startup. Prior to Cirtec, he held positions leading product development and manufacturing at Celestica HealthTech, and Silere Medical Technologies. Prior to co-founding Silere Medical Technology, Inc., Mr. Zobkiw led R&D, manufacturing engineering, regulatory affairs and document control at Pro-Tech Services (now Philips), for a product portfolio spanning a catalog of 200 products including disposables, wearable sensors and complex instrumentation. At Microvision, he was responsible for developing the company's first line of commercial products, including its platform technology based on a proprietary MEMS device for 2-dimensional laser scanning displays. His technical expertise includes electronics, signal processing, sensors, acoustics, imaging, displays, embedded control, micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS), and optics.
