Molly McElwee Malloy is a Clinical Services Manager at Tandem Diabetes Care where she provides guidance for clinical trials, clinical training and marketing. Formerly, she was the Head of Patient Engagement and Director of Marketing for TypeZero Technologies, LLC (http://www.typezero.com), which was recently acquired by DexCom. Molly is a national spokesperson for the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and the chair of the Technology Workgroup for AADE. Molly serves on the advisory board for DDATA Innovation Summit for DiabetesMine. Previously, Molly was a Diabetes Educator at the University of Virginia’s Diabetes Education Management Program (DEMP). She has served as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Center for Diabetes Technology (CDT) and diabetes educator at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. At CDT she was also a member of the International Artificial Pancreas Group that collaborates on studies to further the development of artificial pancreas technology in the US, UK, Italy, France and Israel. In addition to recruiting subjects and coordinating studies, Molly brings over 20 years of experience with type 1 diabetes. As a former participant in artificial pancreas trials, prior to beginning her research career. She brought the unique perspective of a patient as well as a clinician to the table.
