Ajay Padsalgikar, PhD

Ajay graduated with a degree in Polymer Engineering from the University of Poona, India and a PhD in Polymer Science from Clemson University, SC. Ajay started his career with ICI/Huntsman Polyurethanes in Belgium. He moved to Scotland to work with AorTech Biomaterials, AorTech took him to Australia and Minnesota. St. Jude Medical/Abbott took over part of AorTech in Minnesota and Ajay spent 6 years with them.

Currently, he is working as a Senior Principal Scientist at the Innovation Center of DSM Biomedical in Exton, Pennsylvania. Ajay has more than 30 published scientific papers and 10 patents. In 2017, a book titled 'Plastics in Medical devices for Cardiovascular Applications' authored by Ajay was published by Elsevier.
